Part Time Duty Manager

We are looking for a weekend Duty Manager to join our team.

You should be an organised and proactive individual with a strong work ethic and an approachable personality.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • You will report directly to the Directors.

  • Work closely with the floor staff and coaches to assist in the smooth running of the gym.

  • Be the registered First Aid Personelle on site (First Aid at work certification will be provided if not already held).

  • Engage with all centre users in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner.

  • Assist in general reception/ café duties as required. This will include answering phones, replying to emails, making bookings, taking payments and serving coffee.

  • Assist in the cleaning and tidying of the centre and the undertaking of all relevant facilities checks are completed.

  • Comply with and promote the centre’s COVID-Secure policy.

You must be over 18, and either hold, or be happy for us to obtain a clean DBS. Previous experience in a client facing position would be advantageous.  Experience of working in a climbing/bouldering centre is not essential.

Bouldering Coach

We are looking for part time (employed) and Freelance coaches to join us in inspiring the next generation of climbers.

 

You should have at least 3 years climbing experience, and experience working within a climbing environment. You should be a qualified CWI, hold a current first aid certificate (at least 8 hours) and have a clean DBS. You should be commitment to providing excellent customer service, and have a desire to continually improve and develop your climbing both personally and professionally.

 

Ideally you will also have prior experience in coaching or supervising both children and adults in bouldering sessions, and should be familiar with NIBAS. You will preferably already hold/be working towards your Foundation Coach and/or Development Coach Award, and have recently attended BMC FUNdamentals.
